The host country has won the World Cup 6 times. They have lost the final game twice.

The Germans have played in 8 Cup Finals, winning 4, including the 1974 World Cup, played in Germany.

Brazil has won the most world Cups (5) and have played in 7 World Cup Finals.

The 1950 World Cup Final, played in Rio De Jinero was reportedly played in front of 175,000 people. To put that in perspective, that crowd would fill Met Life Stadium nearly 2.25 times.

The next World Cup in 2026 will be played here in the US, with three games each in Canada and Mexico. The Finals are rumored to be at Met Life Stadium.
